New Outside Toilet Facility for Sports Users

Work is now under way on a new outside toilet at the Hub, which we hope will be ready to open by mid-September.

The facility is being provided specifically for registered sports teams and their players, officials and spectators when the sports field has been booked for an organised fixture or event. It will not operate as a general public toilet.

Each booking will need to nominate a responsible person to manage access, ensure the toilet is locked afterwards, check that it has been left clean and tidy, and report any problems promptly. We expect to employ shortly the use of modern access codes to make this arrangement both more secure and more efficient, and so replace the need to distribute and recover physical keys.

Our thanks go particularly to Geoff Coombs, who has been liaising closely with the builder and helping to move the project forward.

We apologise to nearby residents for any noise or temporary disturbance caused during the building work and thank them for their patience. Once complete, the new facility should be a useful improvement for organised sport at the Hub and make booked use of the field more practical for everyone involved.

Booking enquiries should continue to be made through the usual Hub booking arrangements.
